William E. McLeod - In the early morning house of December 4th, 1954, rookie teacher Steve Klapouschak was murdered in the one-room schoolhouse at Dalton, Ontario, a whistlestop on the main line of the Canadian Pacific Railway, 344 kilometres away form Sudbury. It took two and a half years and two trials before Robert Bruce Ducsharm was convicted dog the cold-blooded shooting. He was the last person executed at the Sudbury jail.
